How Christians Are Called to Transform America

God didn't call the church to influence the country through political legislation, radical activities, marches, rallies or getting involved in Christian activists organizations to put Christians into public office.

We transform American by transforming ourselves. By being more concerned about your moral development as Christians than anything else.

A petition for transforming yourself might look like this:
1) I wil live righteously before God
2) I will obey the Scriptures

We change America one life at a time, from the bottom up, by first changing our life to conform to Christ's life.

The New Testament Christians did not lobby Caesar to demand that things go a certain way. Instead...

Live in a way that honors God and glorifies His name.

Change begins with us.

We can't change the culture unless we change ourselves and change education.
It will take more than confidence to run this country. What we need now is substance.

We need a deep relationship with Jesus Christ in order to transform ourselves and our country.

We can't produce good doctors or scientists without Christ.

The Secret Formula for a Great Marriage

So what's the secret of a great marriage?

You need not look farther than the Bible where God sets the ground rules and gives His secrets of success for marriage.

And here it is:

Women - Respect and reverence your Husband (that she notices him, regards him, honors him, prefers him, venerates, and esteems him; and that she defers to him, praises him, and loves and admires him exceedingly - Ephesians 5:33 Amplified Bible)

Men - Love your Wife (love his wife as [being in a sense] his very own self - Ephesians 5:33 Amplified Bible)

Men don't need love so much as they want your respect. Many say 'you must earn my respect'. Is it also true then that you must earn his love?

In order to turn your marriage around today, try it God's way.

If you haven't attended a Love & Respect conference then be sure to register for one today - http://loveandrespect.com

Ephesians 5:22 - 33 - J.B. Phillips New Testament

22-24 You wives must learn to adapt yourselves to your husbands, as you submit yourselves to the Lord, for the husband is the “head” of the wife in the same way that Christ is head of the Church and saviour of the body. The willing subjection of the Church to Christ should be reproduced in the submission of wives to their husbands.

25-27 But, remember, this means that the husband must give his wife the same sort of love that Christ gave to the Church, when he sacrificed himself for her. Christ gave himself to make her holy, having cleansed her through the baptism of his Word—to make her an altogether glorious Church in his eyes. She is to be free from spots, wrinkles or any other disfigurement—a Church holy and perfect.

28-33 Men ought to give their wives the love they naturally have for their own bodies. The love a man gives his wife is the extending of his love for himself to enfold her. Nobody ever hates or neglects his own body; he feeds and looks after it. And that is what Christ does for his body, the Church. And we are all members of that body, we are his flesh and blood! ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’. The marriage relationship is doubtless a great mystery, but I am speaking of something deeper still—the marriage of Christ and his Church. In practice what I have said amounts to this: let every one of you who is a husband love his wife as he loves himself; let the wife reverence her husband.
